Mr. Tim Burge (MB ChB FRCS FRCS (Plast) is consultant plastic surgeon offering cosmetic surgery in Bristol specialising in breast lifts, breast enlargement, and breast reduction as well as many other cosmetic surgery procedures. A graduate of Bristol University Medical School, Mr Burge is also holds positions with Southmead Hospital, Bristol Royal Infirmary, and Bristol Children’s Hospital as well as an NHS Consultant for Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, .

Mr Burge has practiced cosmetic surgery since 1986. He is listed as a specialist on the General Medical Council’s register for plastic surgery. His first position was as a house physician and surgeon for a medical facility in Taunton.

Mr Burge held Regimental Medical Officer positions with both the Scots Guard and the Cheshire Regiment. After training in general surgery at several military hospitals and studying in Hong Kong and Nepal, Mr Burge became focused specifically on plastic surgery. In 1988, he qualified as a Fellow with the Royal College of Surgeons in England in general surgery.Later he gained the FRCS (Plast) after completing an extensive Intercollegiate Fellowship Exam in Plastic Surgery in 1996.

His former positions include plastic surgery registrar for both the Edinburgh’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children and the St. John’s Hospital in Livingston. Thereafter, he served as senior registrar at Queen Mary’s University Hospital in London. Stateside, Mr Burge also gained experience as a surgeon for the US Army burn unit in San Antonio, Texas. As a British Army Lt. Colonel, Mr Burge, who served in both Kuwait and Bosnia, also held a position as plastic surgery consultant with the Royal Hospital Haslar in Portsmouth. 

In his current position, Mr Burge, now retired from the military, treats children and adults who are severe burn victims and may warrant reconstructive and plastic surgery. He also services trauma patients and skin cancer patients. Mr Burge’s research has been published in several medical articles and is also an experienced speaker at medical societies and universities.

His memberships include The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, The British Burn Association, The British Medical Association, The British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, The International Society for Burn Injury, The Military Surgical Society, The Bristol Medico-Legal Society and The Medical Defence Union.
