Mr Muhammad Javaid MBBS, MSc, FRCS(Glasg.) FRCS(Plast) holds the position in the NHS as a Consultant, both in Bedford General Hospital, Bedfordshire and Lister Hospital Stevenage, Hertfordshire in addition to his busy private practice. His specialty is breast surgery although he also has extensive experience in the field of plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery in general.
Mr Javaid practices privately, at the Manor Hospital, Bedford and Pinehill Hospital, Hitchin. He has been offering comprehensive services on a wide range of procedures related to cosmetic surgery. He believes in taking into account even the minutest of surgical details, owing to which he has been able to achieve the best possible results for his patients. Education and Training:
Mr Muhammad Javaid graduated in the year 1988, after which he received extensive training in plastic surgery. His education also includes six years of specialist training, which finally culminated into the award of ‘Certificate of Completion of Training in Plastic Surgery’. Mr Javaid is also registered as a plastic surgery specialist in the books of the GMC. While he was still under training, he received 'Fellowships of the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasglow (FRCS)’, and those of the 'Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery or FRCS (Plast)'.
The list of Mr. Javaid’s achievements doesn’t end here. He also secured a 'National Oncoplastic Breast Reconstruction Fellowship', which was jointly organized by the ‘British Association of Surgical Oncology’ and the ‘British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons’. He is also a member of the 'British Association of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (BAPRAS)' and 'British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS)'.
Mr Javaid also worked at the renowned Wellington Hospital in London. It was here that he completed an extremely competitive accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship, under the guidance of some of the leading cosmetic surgeons of England. This helped him further his training in the field of facial cosmetic surgery as well. It was after this training that he gained substantial expertise in specific procedures such as blephroplasty, neck lift, face lift and the surgery for correction of prominent ears.
Research and Guidance:
Apart from these impressive trainings and fellowships to his credit, Mr. Javaid has had the opportunity to work in multiple teaching hospitals. Some of these hospitals are the Addenbrooke’s Hospital at Cambridge, the Birmingham University Hospital, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital. He has also published numerous scientific papers in both British and American journals pertaining with plastic surgery, and has presented them in both national and international meetings. Even in his NHS practice, Mr. Javaid drives an active research program.
