Mr. LeRoux Fourie is a highly skilled, experienced Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon whose private cosmetic surgery practice is located at Spire Methley Park and Leeds Nuffield Hospitals. What a patient can expect from Mr. Fourie and his staff
On the first visit, the staff will obtain the patient's medical history, discuss the cosmetic surgery needs, and provide an examination. Then, Mr. Fourie will offer a recommendation on the optimal surgical approach. He will provide photographs of patients who have had the same procedure, including before and after visuals. He will discuss the risks and the possibility of complications associated with the procedure, so that the patient will have the necessary information to make informed decisions concerning his or her surgery.
Mr. LeRoux Fourie's qualifications
Mr. Fourie qualified in medicine in South Africa in 1979. He served as a Medical Officer in the South African Defence Force Medical Corps. He qualified as a plastic surgeon in 1987 and was appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Number One Military Hospital in Pretoria, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In 1993 he joined the Pinderfields General Hospital's Department of Plastic Surgery, where he set up a Breast Reconstructive Surgery Service for primary breast reconstructions following breast cancer. He began a part-time private practice in Spire Methley Park Hospital and Leeds Nuffield Health Hospital, which became full-time in 2008. He is a member of BAAPS and BAPRAS, and the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists (BAHNO). Mr. Fourie is a Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with the GMC.
Mr. LeRoux Fourie has written a plethora of articles concerning nipple areola reconstruction. The Cosmetic Tattooists in the United Kingdom use his tattooing technique. He has published papers in the International Peer Review Journals about a variety of topics. He has appeared on the Discovery Channel and was featured on the BBC's 'Inside Out.'
Mr. Fourie offers a variety of surgical procedures, including breast surgery for the correction of congenital breast problems and breast reconstruction after cancer surgery.
