Mr. Atul Khanna has an established private cosmetic surgery practice in the West Midlands, and is an NHS Consultant for cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery. Since 1998, Mr. Khanna has also held the position of clinical director with the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Hospital Trust. He is also a Consultant with the Walsall Manor Hospital NHS Trust and is also on the General Medical Council’s register for plastic surgery. Mr Khanna has extensive experience in breast augmentation, reduction, uplift, capsulectomy as well as many other cosmetic surgery procedures and his practice covers the whole of the the West Midland area.
Mr. Khanna graduated from Osmania University in 1983 with an M.B.B.S and immediately began study in the field of general surgery. In 1989, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow awarded Khanna a fellowship, granting him the opportunity to train in plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. He earned his FRCS qualification by 1997 and, after rigorous examination, was granted a diploma by the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic surgery the following year. In 1994, Khanna became a member of Fellow of the International College of Surgeons(Plast).
Mr Khanna’s memberships include the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS). He is Honorary Secretary of the West Midlands Regional Advisory Committee in Plastic Surgery. Formerly, he was a council member for the British Association of Plastic surgeons.
Mr Atul Khanna has also had the honor of being listed in Marquis’s Who’s Who in the world and Marquis’s Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and is also a reviewer for the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
The manner in which Mr Khanna cares for his patients characterised by his ethical approach to cosmetic surgery and the belief that patients should be aware of the possible risks and complications a well as the benefits. He excels in aftercare, offering in-depth pre-operative and post operative care to aid each patient in planning the safest and most successful surgery and recovery. As an author, Khanna has written several medical articles for peer-reviewed journals as well as a medical entry for the Encyclopaedia of Forensic and Legal Medicine. Mr Khanna believes in remaining at the cutting edge of new technology and technique, and also trains plastic surgery students as a tutor at the NHS.
